We had an adventurous honeymoon couple from Honolulu who wanted to explore all the high points of Australia and New Zealand. We arranged this Australia New Zealand Honeymoon Package to give them a taste of adventure and authentic local flavor in both countries.

First for their Australia New Zealand Honeymoon Package, they went to the iconic Great Barrier Reef. They did some snorkeling on the reef, plus went horseback riding and took a quad bike tour through the rainforest! They also had some leisure time to simply sit back and enjoy the beautiful beaches. Next, it was on to sunny Sydney. In Sydney, they went on a bicycle tour of the highlights (complete with a pub visit!), climbed to the top of the Harbour Bridge at twilight, and took a surfing lesson on Bondi Beach.

Continuing their Australia New Zealand Honeymoon Package, they flew to Queenstown, New Zealand’s adventure capital. Their room at The Rees, with its gorgeous lake views, was the perfect place to unwind for the evening. The next day, they went bungy jumping and had a thrilling jet boat ride on the Dart River. They also went river surfing on the Kawarau River!

Next, they drove over to Fox Glacier—stopping for some short hikes along the way—for a heli hiking adventure on the glacier’s surface. Then for their Australia New Zealand Honeymoon Package, they drove up to Punakaiki, where they went horseback riding through the valley to the famous Pancake Rocks. Their last stop was the breathtaking Edenhouse retreat right next to Abel Tasman National Park. They went kayaking in the park, and even saw some fur seals in the water! Then they returned to the lodge to enjoy their final evening in New Zealand relaxing with a delicious dinner and wine. The gorgeous Edenhouse was the perfect place to unwind after nearly 3 weeks of incredible adventures.

With crampons on the bottom of your boots and an ice pick in your hand, you’ll wander through blue crevasses and icy caves with the help of an expert guide. Spend the rest of your day doing any number of additional activities: soaking in hot pools, viewing real live kiwi birds in a nocturnal kiwi house, hiking, horseback riding, or just enjoying the rugged feel of this remote town.

Day 14
It’s a drive up the rugged West Coast of New Zealand’s South Island today, past windswept beaches, stark sea cliffs dropping into the roaring ocean, and hazy fog that hangs over the alps to your right as you navigate this thin strip of land between the ocean and the mountains. The drive gets better and better the farther north you drive.
