For a 10th anniversary, a couple from Denver wanted a romantic anniversary vacation. The islands of Polynesia are a gorgeous collection of volcanic islands and atolls strewn lazily across the grand Pacific Ocean. Moorea and Bora Bora are 2 of the most popular. So we sent them to relax away their days and nights at a perfect Tahiti beach resort, an island paradise, steps away from Bora Bora’s famous lagoon. There was also ample time to snorkel with sting rays, feed sharks, or join a jet ski island tour. Moorea also offered the opportunity for many land-based activities such as hiking and quad biking. They agreed it was a perfect anniversary vacation. Interested in Bora Bora Honeymoons? Whether your dream for Tahiti is a beach resort or overwater bungalows, this package will fit perfectly. Suggested Length: 8 Days

Day 1
Depart Los Angeles for same day arrival into Papeete, the capital city of Tahiti. Overnight here and get a good night’s sleep to prepare for your continued adventure to Moorea and Bora Bora.
4-star resort (optional upgrade to overwater bungalows is available)

Day 2
Transfer from your hotel to the ferry dock, where you will take a short trip to nearby Moorea. Often likened to James Michener’s mythical island of Bali Hai, Moorea is only 11 miles from Tahiti. The volcanic peaks, reflected in the tranquil waters of Cook’s Bay and Opunohu Bay, rise like a sharks jaw from the islands basaltic base. The mountain slopes are covered with pineapple plantations, and amazing Tahitian beaches border crystalline lagoons.

Day 5
Transfer to the airport, followed by a short flight to Bora Bora. Discover the sparkling magic of the lagoon, admire the awe-inspiring Mount Otemanu, relax and soak in the tranquility of the resort’s private beach. Bora Bora Main Island is in the center of a multicolored lagoon, surrounded by offshore “motu” islets inside a protective coral necklace. Bora Bora’s lagoon is world-famous for its beauty and is constantly replenished with ocean water from the ocean swells that crash over the fringing reef. In the center of the lagoon one side of the extinct volcano still stands as a tall mountain. The old crater has eroded and is now submerged. Within the lagoon the depths of water vary from a few inches to 120 feet. The diving inside it is pure delight.

“If you get some time in Papeete, by far my favorite stop in Papeete was the Robert Wan Pearl Museum. It contains displays explaining more than 2000 years of pearl diving and cultivation, explaining how oysters turn bits of oceanic detritus into jewels. And it has Tahitian black pearls of all sizes and prices for sale.” – Shannon, Down Under Endeavours
