How Much Does a South Pacific Vacation Cost?

This varies depending on the accommodations you use, when you travel, and many other factors, but here’s a rough guide. These estimated budgets include pricing for 2 adults, with international and domestic airfare (economy class), accommodations, pre-booked touring, and transfers/rental cars.

Interested in one of our web packages? There are a few things you should know.

  • Our packages are designed to give you an idea of what’s possible, but your trip will be completely customized for your interests, timeframe, and budget by one of our luxury travel designers.
  • Airfare prices change daily, so we haven’t included them in our online pricing.
  • The packages are priced at low season. Your trip may cost more if you travel at a more expensive time of year.
  • We require a minimum booking of $8,000 total for your trip. This includes airfare, accommodations, touring, and transfers for all travelers in your group.

Your travel dates will affect the overall cost of your trip, so if you want the best value for money, flexibility is your friend. Our luxury travel designers can give you more specific information based on where you want to go, but here’s a general picture of travel seasons in the South Pacific.

Our Planning Fee

Unlike a travel agent, we don’t mark up every item on your itinerary. Instead, we charge a one-time planning fee, and all other costs go directly toward your trip.

First, you’ll fill out our online profile form to give us an idea of your unique travel style and what you’re looking for in a vacation. Then, you’ll speak to one of our luxury travel designers on the phone. They’ll get to know you a little better and send you some personalized recommendations for your trip. If you like what you see, it’s time to pay the planning fee to move forward with your itinerary.

  • Simple planning fee: $250
  • Complex planning fee: $400+
  • Last-minute or peak season planning fee: $500

The planning fee covers your travel designer’s time in handcrafting and perfecting your itinerary. They’ll help you select the best destinations, flights, accommodations, and touring options for your trip and make sure all the pieces fit together seamlessly.

Booking and Payment

Once you’re 100% happy with your custom itinerary, it’s time to book! We’ll process any deposits required and start booking your trip—hotels and tours first to make sure you have a place to stay, followed shortly thereafter with the flights. Australia visa processing, dinner reservations, special touches, and optional travel insurance all fit in here, too.

The full balance of your trip is due 8 weeks prior to departure. At this time, we’ll start finessing the details of your trip, refining and adding information where needed. Before you leave, you’ll receive detailed final documents with everything you need to know.

Pricing Breakdowns

When we send you a trip quote, we’ll separate your costs into land (hotels, touring, transfers, etc.) and airfare. However, we are not able to send an itemized breakdown of your trip costs. As a wholesale tour operator, we receive special rates from our travel partners in the South Pacific, but our contracted rates include non-disclosure agreements.

Wherever possible, we’ll send you links to the hotels and touring options we recommend so you can make informed decisions. While Down Under Endeavours is not a discount travel service, our rates are certainly competitive with what you’ll find online.
