Day 1  Great Barrier Reef (D)
Arrive into Brisbane where you will catch a short flight to Gladstone. From there you will be treated to a helicopter transfer to Heron Island, a natural coral cay located directly on the Great Barrier Reef. This is diver’s paradise…in the crystal clear waters are stunning coral gardens and marine life of all colors and sizes. When you are aren’t under water, you can enjoy one of the many pristine beaches or other activities at the resort.  Evenings see beach volleyball, live acoustic music and laid back atmosphere.

Day 2-5  Great Barrier Reef (B,L,D)
With a natural coral cay located directly on the reef, there are plenty of dive sites to explore, more than half of which are just 15 minutes from the beach. The waters around Heron Island are teeming with reef fish, turtles, manta rays, reef sharks and an endless variety of marine invertebrates. So good is the diving that Jacques Cousteau listed The Heron Bommie as one of his top 10 favourite dive sites!  For your time on dry land, try these optional activities: guided birdlife walks, island ecology walks, wildlife presentations, or turtle spotting. Heron Island is a turtle nesting ground.  You may be lucky in seeing a turtle lay her eggs, or see them hatch and scuttle to the ocean.

Day 6  Sydney (B)
Your adventure travel continues to spectacular Sydney.  Cosmopolitan and aesthetically appealing, Sydney is a feast for the eyes with plenty to offer any type of traveler. Sydney is iconic in every way -- the Opera House, the Harbour Bridge, the zoos and lively neighborhoods, Darling Harbour -- all of it is delightful and worth thorough exploration.  Bondi Beach is an excellent day out.  Try a surf lesson or simply relax at a beachside cafe.

Day 7  Sydney
Haven't gotten your fix of large sharks yet?  Take the ferry to Manly Beach for a shark feeding dive at Oceanworld!  Dive into the main oceanarium and come face-to-face with huge sharks, turtles, stingrays, and fish in what's one of the world's only guaranteed underwater shark encounters.  Optional touring ideas include 4WD tour to the Blue Mountains, wine tasting in Hunter Valley, city bike tour of Sydney, Sydney Bridgeclimb.

Day 8  Sydney
Today is yours to explore Sydney at your leisure. Take a self-guided walking tour of The Rocks Historic District, ferry to Manly Beach, or shop the boutiques of Oxford Street. Visit the Tauranga Zoo, shop at Darling Harbour, climb the Harbour Bridge, take a surf lesson at Bondi Beach, or stroll through the Botanic Gardens. A cruise on the harbor is a must!  We are happy to make dinner reservations for you this evening.

Day 9  Fiji
Today hop a flight to Nadi Fiji your destination, Taveuni Island. Your home will be Taveunii Island Resort set in the lush rainforest on a hill overlooking a beautiful Fiji beach and azur waters. Just outside your door is excellent diving. Located in Somo somo Straits, the reef structure is over 3 miles long! Rainbow Reef almost single-handedly earns Fiji the title as the “Soft Coral Capital of the World.”

Day 10-13 (B,L,D)
Days are at your leisure to enjoy the island on land and underwater.  Optional activities including: kayaking, meke (traditional fijian dance), village tour, guided island treks, sailing, volleyball, deep sea fishing, and bushwalking. For an off the beaten path adventure, walk the Lavena coastline, an area only accessible by foot! Experience the coastal habitats and incredible waterfalls.  As your travel adventures wind down, spend a day at the beach, relax and recharge for your journey back home.

Day 14  Depart
Say goodbye to your new family in Fiji and board you flight back home. Hopefully your underwater camera was able to capture memories from your amazing dive trip!
