This Bora Bora Overwater Bungalow Vacations: Romance and Adventure package was planned for a couple from Boston celebrating a 40th birthday. They wanted to stay in a romantic Bora Bora overwater bungalow, but they also wanted to experience some marine life and adventures on the island. Le Bora Bora Beach Resort and Spa met all of their expectations.
They immediately fell in love with their romantic overwater bungalow. Featuring modern design with traditional Polynesian flavor, each bungalow boasts a large private deck, which is an ideal place to read or take in the sunset with views of the iconic Mount Otemanu. Ladders from the deck make it easy to slip into the lagoon’s warm water, while glass floors inside give you a glimpse of the turquoise waters and colorful marine life below.
At Le Bora Bora, they enjoyed absolutely breathtaking tropical beauty. Bora Bora’s main island is in the center of a multicolored lagoon, surrounded by offshore “motu” islets inside a protective coral necklace. Mount Otemanu, the remains of an inactive volcano, rises dramatically from the water and dominates the horizon.
They had plenty of leisure time on this Bora Bora Overwater Bungalow Vacations: Romance and Adventure package. They enjoyed lounging on their deck, paddle boarding in the lagoon, visiting private white sand beaches, and relaxing in the gorgeous infinity pool with views over the lagoon. They also decided to rent some scooters and explore the island on their own, driving through lush tropical foliage and stopping at secluded beaches.
We did book one adventure for the happy couple: a fabulous snorkeling adventure where they got to swim with sharks and rays! They had a full day to explore the lagoon with expert guides. They swam with gentle black-tipped reef sharks and huge, yet harmless, rays. It was certainly an unforgettable adventure!
At last, their magical Bora Bora Overwater Bungalow Vacations: Romance and Adventure package came to an end. They flew from Bora Bora to Papeete, where they caught their connecting flight back home.

Day 1
Depart Los Angeles for next-day arrival into Papeete, the capital city of Tahiti, then take a short flight to the island of Bora Bora. Day 2
Start your Bora Bora honeymoon off with some relaxation. Discover the sparkling magic of the lagoon, admire the awe-inspiring Mount Otemanu, relax, and soak in the tranquility of the resort’s private beach. Be sure to go to the turtle center for feeding and perhaps a swim!

Day 3
Today, you get the opportunity to snorkel with sharks and rays. Covered boats will transfer you across the lagoon on your snorkel safari. The waters will amaze you with their clarity and vivid blue colors. After snorkeling through the coral and fish, your guide will encourage the black-tipped reef sharks to swim your way. Next, it’s onto a favorite stop to a shallow sand bank where you’ll see the elegant, large, yet harmless stingrays living in their natural habitat.

Day 4 – 5
Enjoy the beauty of Le Méridien! A small infinity swimming pool is complemented by a large inner lagoon where you can swim among curious fish and turtles. In addition to water activities, Jeep and quad safaris and 4WD excursions penetrate the island’s mountainous, lushly forested interior. You can also rent bicycles or scooters in Vaitape and explore the island at your leisure.

Day 6
Transfer to the airport for your connecting flight to Papeete. Depart Papeete for same day arrival into Los Angeles. Tahiti and her stunning beauty will have left an indelible mark on your memory and you will already be planning your next trip!
