Your Australia honeymoon begins with arriving at the Cairns airport and board your short transfer to the Palm Cove, voted top 10 beaches of Australia, a charming seaside community where no building is higher than the coconut palms. A relaxing first day to enjoy the village with its outdoor cafés and relaxed vibe.

Day 2  Great Barrier Reef (L)
Enjoy a full day today out on the Great Barrier Reef with a small group for reef interpretation and a guided snorkel tour. You'll be transported to three spectacular sites on the edge of the Outer Great Barrier Reef at Milln, Pellowe, Flynn or Thetford reefs.  Snorkeling is the easiest way to enjoy the colors and variety of fragile corals and fish life found in the shallow lagoons. Or, if you have your certification, you may scuba dive at these fabulous locations.

Day 3-4  Palm Cove - Beaches and Relaxation
Today is at your complete leisure to enjoy the northern tropical beaches. Take a day tour into Daintree Rainforest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the oldest rainforest in the world for a hike and waterfall swim.  Or go sea kayaking, golfing,  and if you are feeling adventurous, whitewater rafting.

Day 5  Lord Howe Island (D)
Transfer to Cairns for your flight to Sydney.  From there you will take a short flight to stunning Lord Howe Island.  With its rich green forests, tranquil beaches and incredibly blue seas, Lord Howe Island is dominated by the ruggedly spectacular volcanic peaks of Mt Gower and Mt Lidgbird. Your home will be, Capella Lodge whose island-style suites are designed to complement Lord Howe’s pristine natural environment.

Day 6-7  Lord Howe Island (B,L,D)
At your leisure to enjoy your time on Lord Howe Island. It is a paradise for walkers, with dozens of trails throughout the island. Experience first hand the wonders of the world's southern-most coral reef in a glass-bottomed sea kayak or on a snorkeling or diving excursion. Head down to Lovers Bay to explore the lagoon by canoe, or catch a break on your board at Blinkie's Beach, and hand feed hundreds of fish that congregate in the shallow waters at any time of the day. Cruise by boat to picturesque North Bay, circumnavigate the island or journey to Balls Pyramid.

Day 8-9  Port Stephens (B)
Catch your flight to Sydney and pick up a rental car for a 2.5 hour drive past gigantic Lake Macquarie to your destination, Port Stephens.  Your Australia honeymoon package includes a whale and dolphin watching tour and even have the opportunity to swim with dolphins! The whale watching season is from the end of May to mid November when over 12,000 Humpback whales swim past Port Stephens. It is also home to over 80 bottlenose dolphins.

Day 10-12  Sydney
Sydney is iconic in every way -- the Opera House, the Harbour Bridge, the zoos and lively neighborhoods, Darling Harbour -- all of it is delightful and worth thorough exploration. Cosmopolitan and well landscaped, Sydney is a feast for the eyes with plenty to offer everyone from beach lovers to city dwellers, to adrenaline junkies.  Explore Sydney at leisure.  Optional additional activities include: trying a surf lesson at Bondi Beach, enjoying a scenic helicopter flight over the city, taking the public ferry to Manly Beach, heading out for a day tour to the Blue Mountains, viewing the city from above on the Sydney Tower Eye or the Harbour Bridge Climb, a scenic harbour cruise, a bike tour of city highlights, a self-guided walking tour of the Rocks Historic District, or a stroll through the Botanic Gardens or a tour of the Sydney Opera House.
