This Golf, Wine, and Art in Melbourne and Adelaide + Outback Luxury Train tour is perfect for the traveler who wants to experience a little bit of everything! This itinerary is all about the finer things in life: It includes golf at 2 of Australia’s most prestigious courses; exclusive wine tasting and wine blending experiences; a luxurious rail journey through the outback; and much more.

We planned this trip for a couple from Seattle. They started their Golf, Wine, and Art in Melbourne and Adelaide + Outback Luxury Train tour in Melbourne. Here, they enjoyed a private nightlife and culinary tour, as well as golf at some of the region’s top courses.

Next, they spent 2 nights in the nearby Mornington Peninsula (otherwise known as Melbourne’s summer playground). They went wine tasting with a private guide, stayed at a fabulous boutique hotel set amongst the vines, and saw unique Australian animals at Moonlit Sanctuary. The next stop on their trip was Adelaide and wine country. They visited the d’Arenberg Cube, an innovative and iconic destination for wine lovers, and got to create their very own wine blends!

One of the highlights of their Golf, Wine, and Art in Melbourne and Adelaide + Outback Luxury Train tour was taking The Ghan luxury train from Adelaide to Darwin. Traveling from one end of Australia to the other through the fiery Red Centre, they were able to enjoy a wonderful outback experience with the utmost comfort and luxury. They stopped in Alice Springs, Australia’s most iconic outback town, and Katherine, home to breathtaking outback scenery. Their journey finished in Darwin, where they had an evening at leisure to explore the Mindil Beach Sunset Markets and enjoy the laid-back feel of this tropical city.
