Cook Islands Beach Resort Vacation: Relax and Unwind

Enjoy 10 nights in paradise at a luxurious Cook Islands beach resort overlooking a magnificent lagoon. Combining two islands, Rarotonga and Aitutaki, the holiday offers the ultimate in sun and relaxation.

This Cook Islands Beach Resort Vacation was planned for a couple celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary who wanted to do a quick getaway. They were looking for luxury, privacy, and romance in a Cook Islands beach resort, so we sent them to two different resorts on the islands.

Rumours is located on the absolutely stunning Muri Beach on the main island of Rarotonga. Here, soft, pure white sand meets a brilliantly blue lagoon. With just 13 luxury villas, Rumours offers a feeling of complete seclusion and a tranquil escape from day-to-day life.

For their Cook Islands Beach Resort Vacation, we sent the couple to one of the beachfront villas for 7 nights. They loved their private courtyard surrounded by lush tropical gardens, as well as their private plunge pool—perfect for taking romantic dips on a gorgeous, sunny afternoon.  They started their Cook Islands Beach Resort Vacation with some relaxation after their long flight. We booked them an arrival massage and rejuvenating treatment at the tranquil the Rumours spa.

While on their Cook Islands Beach Resort Vacation, they had leisure time to lay on the pristine beach, go swimming and snorkeling in the cerulean waters of the Muri Lagoon, explore Rarotonga by bike, and simply enjoy some time together in their spacious, luxurious villa. Their villa rate included complimentary kayaks, so they were able to kayak to nearby islands whenever they pleased. They also decided to take some extra excursions, including a visit to the local village and an adventurous quad bike tour around the island.

After a week of relaxing, they boarded a short flight to the stunning Aitutaki. The Aitutaki Lagoon is famous for its unbelievable beauty, and they got to catch their first glimpse of it from the air. After a private transfer from the airport to Aitutaki Escape, they spent 3 day relaxing.

After 10 days in heavenly bliss, their Cook Islands Beach Resort Vacation came to an end. They enjoyed a private transfer to the airport to begin their journey home feeling completely relaxed, refreshed, and full of happy memories.
