When in Tassie, make sure to try the local Wasabi cheese. If you roll a piece of smoked salmon around it, you would swear you are in heaven!

Day 1
Arrive into Hobart, collect your mid size automatic rental car and make your way into the city.  Your hotel is located on Hobart’s waterfront and is Australia’s first dedicated art hotel, with over 300 pieces of artwork throughout the property.  A former jam factory built in 1804, it has be transformed into an exceptional boutique hotel in the perfect location for exploration.  Enjoy a stroll through Hobart's legendary and colorful Salamanca Market, taking in the fresh produce, artisanal cheeses, preserves, wines and arts & craft that are on offer. Continue on foot along Hobart’s picturesque waterfront to the Lark Distillery cellar door for a tour of their historic premises where you will gain an understanding of the craft of whisky distillation. Tasmania has all ingredients to make a world class whisky ‐ rich fields of barley, wonderfully pure soft water, highland peat bogs, and the perfect climate ‐ which the Lark Distillery have used to produce premium whisky.   Dinner reservations can be made for you this evening.
