New Zealand: Knowledgeable and Prompt Advice

You as our New Zealand travel agent were great to work with. You were very prompt in responses to e-mails and were willing to work with us to adapt our trip so it fit our needs. And most importantly,  knowledgeable enough about New Zealand to suggest the places we would definitely want to visit. This is the first time I’ve ever worked with a travel agency and it made my trip so much easier and more relaxing. And it was nice to know there was in-country support (even though we didn’t have to use it!)

Bring a camera and a ton of film/storage cards. Pretty much everywhere you turn the scenery is stunning.

Driving on the left side of the road takes a period of adjustment but isn’t too bad once you get used to it, and car is definitely the best way to see most of the country.

All our hotels were nice, but The Hermitage was a standout for sure. We were on the 9th floor and had a beautiful picture window with full views to see the sunset and sunrise on Mt. Cook.

The only place we didn’t really like was Rotorua. It was super touristy and definitely had a strong sulphur smell. It would probably have been better as a one night stopover.
The South Island had the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen in such a small geographical area. It was a wonderful place to visit for photography.

For the flights within New Zealand it would have been nice to leave later in the day – we got to Christchurch so late we weren’t able to see any of it (although I understand there’s not much to see right now). We planned our drive a little better so we arrived in Auckland with enough time to walk around that evening, but a full day there would have been nice.

All our transfers went smoothly, the rental car(s) were great (we upgraded when we arrived), and all the hotels were nice. Thank you again!
