Working with our travel consultant was easy and took a lot of stress off of me. From the beginning, she listened to our interests and came up with the perfect itinerary for us that incorporated more than we could have imagined possible. She was also quick to respond to emails and phone calls. I have never worked with a travel agent before and it was so wonderful to not have to deal with planning all the details. We were so busy with wedding planning that we did not have time to think too much about our honeymoon. After the wedding, it felt like this wonderful surprise to print the itinerary planned for us and hop on the plane. We had great experiences with all of the accommodations and activities booked by Down Under Endeavours. The staff at every single hotel was kind, helpful and welcoming; we were even upgraded to better rooms in every hotel without asking. We would definitely return to these hotels in future travels.
The advice I would give to other travelers would be not to be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. The best decision we made was agreeing to try driving on the left side of the road. This opened up many more opportunities for us and the places we visited and experiences we had driving through New Zealand were our favorite part of the trip. Also, let the experts plan. I never would have been able to develop such an elaborate itinerary on my own.
While every hotel was wonderful, the Grasmere Lodge is our new favorite place in the world. Thank you for finding this for us. We love being in the mountains and this was the perfect location for us. We met an extremely interesting family and had dinner with them here as well. I think the only regret we had about the vacation was that we didn’t make it longer, especially our time in New Zealand. Arthur’s Pass was so beautiful we could have explored there for another day and there were so many activities we would have loved to do in Queenstown that we wish we had been there longer. The good news is we are determined to return some day and do everything all over again.
