Wine and Wildlife Adventure Australia: Sydney and Kangaroo Island

On this Kangaroo Island and Sydney highlights tour, get up close and personal with iconic Australian animals! Explore Kangaroo Island with a private guide and see Sydney through the eyes of a local on a lunch cruise.

We designed this Wine and Wildlife Adventure Australia: Sydney and Kangaroo Island package for an adventurous couple in their 50s. They were both nature lovers and the wife was enamored with Australian animals, so we created this trip as the ultimate wildlife vacation!

Based on everything they wanted to see and do, we knew South Australia, with its incredible food, wine, wildlife, and beaches, was the perfect destination. Our clients started their trip in the cosmopolitan capital of Adelaide, where they had a day to rest and explore.

Their Wine and Wildlife Adventure Australia continued on the gorgeous Kangaroo Island, where a third of the land is set aside for wildlife conservation. They loved the stunning scenery and the opportunity to see iconic Australian animals in their natural habitat. We arranged 2 days of private nature and wildlife touring with our friends at Exceptional Kangaroo Island, and our clients formed a close connection with their guide. Exploring Kangaroo Island was certainly a highlight of their trip.

Then, it was another short flight back to Adelaide, and they drove to Barossa Valley, Australia’s undisputed wine capital, and spent 3 nights at the beautiful luxury lodge The Louise. Dining at the lodge’s Appellation restaurant was one of the highlights of their trip!  And of course, the enjoyed a full day of wine tasting expertly hosted by their private local guide.

From the Barossa Valley, they flew to magical Sydney.  They stayed at The Langham Sydney, a fabulous luxury hotel nestled into a quiet oasis near the city center.  That evening they wondered the city with a local Splendour guide who showed them some of the best local food in the city.

The next day, they were treated to a very special authentic aboriginal experience in the city.  Hosted by an expert guide, the couple saw the city through the historical and cultural lens of their Aboriginal guide.  And then enjoyed a progressive long lunch on local yacht.  This lunch was accompanied with the best Australian wines, and it included three stops at hidden gem restaurants.

After 9 days of incredible Australian experiences, it was time to begin their journey home. They returned with some amazing memories and photos to share!
