LGBT Friendly Travel

Did you know that Australia is one of the biggest countries that has an active and supportive LGBT community.  Attitudes toward the LGBT community do vary in Australia, just as they do in the US, however Australia’s commitment to supporting the LGBT community continues to make it a top LGBT friendly destination.

You’ll quickly find that despite Australia’s rough and rugged reputation, there’s a large, active and confident LGBT community.  Sydney’s is one of the largest in the country, abundant in LGBT venues, services, businesses, travel clubs, and so much more.  It’s no wonder Sydney is a top LGBT travel destinations.  If you’re a beach goer, you’re in the right place.  Sydney has a plethora of beaches, many of which are LGBT friendly spots, like Bondi Beach, Bronte Beach, and Tamarama Beach, just to name a few.  For those who enjoy sunbathing in the nude, check out Obelisk Beach and Lady Jane Beach.  During Mach, hundreds of thousands of people can be found celebrating Sydney’s Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras.  Get ready for loads of fun!  Second to Sydney, you’ll that Melbourne has a great scene.  As the second largest city in Australia, it’s vibrant and full of character.  Melbourne is a little less focused on the beach, with a cooler climate and more indoor activities to choose from.  Brisbane, Canberra, and Perth also have their own small, but visible LGBT communities.
