This New Zealand South Island and Cook Islands vacation is a perfect romantic getaway for a honeymoon or maybe a babymoon!  We planned this trip for a recently married couple from Washington DC, they were both starting graduate school so they wanted a quick vacation before they started school.  They started their adventure on the South Island of New Zealand in Queenstown.  They chose to bungy jump, jetboat, and hike to enjoy the beautiful views on their days in there.  They had a chance to go up on the Skyline Gondola and did star gazing at night over Lake Wakatipu.  They then traveled through Haast Pass to the glaciers.  After an amazing helicopter flight to the glaciers, they relaxed in the local hot pools. Then from the glaciers, they took a romantic train ride on the Tranz Alpine Train, regularly voted the best train ride in the world,  to Christchurch, the garden city.  That night they enjoyed a romantic dinner at the Curator’s House in the botanical gardens.  To end their romantic getaway to New Zealand South Island and Cook Islands, they ended on a Muri Beach, a beautiful beach in Rarotonga, where they relaxed and enjoyed the pristine views of the ocean.
