We had an amazingly, magical trip! We wouldn't have changed any of it. So first we have to say THANK YOU! We can't thank you enough for everything. We loved the South Island, the locations were great, the drives were beautiful, and the activities were exactly what we were looking for. I'm sure we could have spent more time in several of the locations, but we didn't feel rushed, or like we missed out on anything, which was good.

This was my first experience working with a travel agent, and I'm glad I chose to get some help. I know I couldn't have planned and booked a complicated vacation like this entirely on my own. Rachel was great - helpful, knowledgeable, quick to respond, and always accommodating. It also reduced stress a lot to be in another country and know there was a local person we could contact for help in case there were any problems.

Port Douglas was awesome and loved the scuba experience. You did great. The location was great. We were right in the middle of Port Douglas, which totally made up for the lack of luxury, and we didn't spend much time there anyway. The rainforest experience was fun. The 4-wheel drive experience was very good though and highly recommend.Sydney, Loved the Bridge Climb and the Sydney Zoo! That made the trip worthwhile, as well as the harbor view.

Jill, first of all, thank you for putting together a wonderful trip for us. We were upgrade to beachfront without any questions, and we appreciate that. I reviewed the trip on Tripadvisor.com, so you will find a lot of my opinion there. It is all positive. We loved it and would like to work with you again soon. Tahiti is on our list. If you ever get any deals headed to Moorea please contact us. (Mosquitoes turned out to not be as big a problem as I had feared.) All in all, a very enjoyable trip that we would like to do again in a place of similar beauty. We also loved Air New Zealand.... nice employees and a nice plane.

I just wanted to thank you for planning a fabulous trip for us. Australia was just lovely. There was a lot to see. We went to the Taronga Zoo, the Opera house, many museums, and visited the massive St. Marys' Cathedral.
Fiji was breathtaking. The first island was nice. The people were amazing, and so inviting. But if I may say.......SAVU SAVU was our favorite. Hindsight I would have taken out Denarau and added a few more days in SAVU SAVU. The Namale Resort was just what we were looking for. We wished we had the Honeymoon Bure, but I know they were probably not available or you were trying to keep in the budget. Namale was simply amazing. The island is so rustic, and the people live the simple life. So wonderful!

This Australia travel agency was extremely responsive to all requests, very professional, very well-informed. The individual Australia travel agent always responded to our questions in less than 24 hours, and was very good at responding to our needs and putting the trip together. No negative comments.
Among the most enjoyable parts of our trip were diving on the Great Barrier Reef; morning airboat at Bammuru Plains, and rock paintings in Kakadu National Park. Too many things to even list. What a fantastic trip!
What would we do differently? Well, it would be nice if it weren't so expensive. But we had decided in advance that this would be the trip of a lifetime, and it was. We wouldn't do anything differently.

We had some issues with the car service and some of the hotels we did not like. Otherwise the planning of the trip and travel company was great.
Holding a koala, feeding kangaroos, diving the Great Barrier Reef, exploring Sydney were highlights.
There’s not much we’d do differently, probably just upgrade our hotel in some of the destinations.

A wonderful itinerary with the right mix of locations, good number of days at each spot, perfect activities, on-ground logistics were all great. Only snafu was a very poorly handled trip insurance situation by the travel agent (we booked trip and bought policy after being assured in emails and on the phone that we had "cancel for any reason" insurance, but on closer inspection, that was not the case) and we spent months trying to sort it out before the agent involved left the company and the owner took over.

We found travel to be smooth and easy, all of our flights connected fine and our rental cars worked out fine. We went without a GPS and didn't have much trouble navigating. It's hard to pick highlights from the trip because we had a great time all around! I would say we especially enjoyed the Waimangu volcanic valley and Wai-o-Tapu thermal wonderland, the Polynesian Spa, the Queen Charlotte Track, and Queenstown. The geothermal sites were fantastic, and we're glad we went to both, they were different experiences. First of all, the reason we chose you is that you called. I heard from 2 or 3 other travel agents by email, but they did not follow up. When you telephoned, I said to Harvey – “she's the one.” Clearly you listened to us/put up with us and were very patient. You heard the types of places we like to stay, and how independent we wanted to be. I loved being independent. Everything worked like clockwork - all our vouchers were honored and all I had to do was to go to the next one in my voucher book and hand it to whomever. I kept waiting for a glitch, and there was not one!
So, in a nut shell, I want a travel agent that "gets me," has been to where I want to go, can offer suggestions, specially if I have no clue, and who pushes us a little, as you did. There were times we kind of put the trip out of our minds, and you were very good at making us focus!

I chose Down Under Endeavours for a few reasons. First, because your agency is owned by an Australian yet is located in the United States. Second, we were interested in both Australia and Fiji (and possibly New Zealand), and wanted an agency that had luxury experience with the entire area. Third, you emphasized personalized trips, “exclusive” accommodations, and private tours. Lastly, I liked the fact that our first conversation focused on what things we like do (nature/wildlife rather than wineries/city), and from there you suggested destinations. I definitely would have been turned off if that conversation had consisted of you just giving me a standard list of things we should do.
I definitely liked working with you and would do so again should we consider a second ‘trip of a lifetime!’ I appreciated your prompt email responses, the detailed information and costs of our options, and also your patience while we sought our perfect Fiji destination. I would definitely recommend you without hesitation.

My trip was an experience of a lifetime and DUE did everything I could have asked in planning such an adventure. I was particularly impressed with how you were able to book everything under such a tight timeline. My trip wouldn't have been the same. Queenstown was definitely the highlight of the trip and the Bungy jump was my favorite. I really enjoyed the diving with sharks and the trip out to the wild as well. I was fortunate in that I had several private tours due to the time of year. The winery and glacier days were fun too. I loved the beauty of NZ and the adventure aspect of Australia. Everyone was so friendly and fun, I loved it so much. I would highly recommend DUE to anyone planning a trip to the pacific.

Our trip was fantastic, probably the best we have ever taken. In good measure, much of this was the result of very careful attention to details by our travel agent, Jill, at Down Under Endeavours ("DUE"), which we would never have found without Zicasso. Thank you! We would say that DUE had several business characteristics which we really appreciate: (1) DUE really listened to us and probed to find out what we really wanted; (2) DUE was not at all pushy -- if we said we did not want something, DUE did not argue or try to push its own preferences; (3) DUE gave us alternatives and really worked to provide suggestions, insights, warnings, and disclosure; (4) DUE provided high quality "after care" -- many agents drop you the minute you've paid, but that was not the case with DUE: questions were answered within a matter of hours (usually overnight by email); and (5) DUE wanted to hear all about our trip, what we liked, what we did not like, things that worked well, things that did not work well, pleasant and unpleasant surprises. The true "value added" of DUE is that it left us to enjoy our holiday without worrying about the details. -- DUE took responsibility for everything so that all we had to do was show up and relax. This was the very best aspect of using DUE.

Hannah and I recently returned from our trip to New Zealand and the Cook Islands that you put together. I just wanted to let you know that we had a GREAT time!! The hotel accommodations, flights, car rentals were all set up seamlessly making for smooth sailing from city to city. We did have one issue with the hotel in Rotorua, which overall the room was not to the standard that we expected, but they were able to upgrade us to a superior room after we complained about some issues with a non-working fridge. In any case, overall, our vacation experience was amazing and filled with so many memories. Thanks again for all of your expertise and help putting things together for us! I will highly recommend you guys to others who are interested in travelling to NZ.

Everything went seamlessly. From each tour, meal, transfers and flight. We couldn't have asked for a better honeymoon. Our favorite was the snorkeling at the reef, but the most romantic was the harbour cruise in Sydney. It was amazing. We also met other clients of Down Under Endeavours on our snorkeling tour, Gayle and Bob Cafferty. We had a great time with them, and we all said how great you all are putting our vacations together. Oh, and the Sea Temple was gorgeous! They gave us an upgrade too, so we had the plunge pool. So cool. :-)

Overall, our trip was wonderful. Kangaroo Island was fabulous. I would do that again in a heartbeat. Can't say that John or I enjoyed the Ghan so much. It was such a long trip over not much of nothing and the cabin was really tiny. We spoke to some passengers in the Gold compartment as well. They weren't that thrilled with their accommodations or the food. What we were eating for dinner one night they said looked much more appetizing then their meal. Read more...
