A couple from Denver came to us looking for a romantic 10th anniversary vacation. They wanted to “drop out” of the real world and relax on a beautiful beach, and they also dreamed of staying in an overwater bungalow. We designed this Bora Bora Honeymoons: Beach Resorts and Overwater Bungalow Vacation to give them a taste of a few French Polynesian islands, finishing off their trip with a few nights in a luxurious overwater bungalow in Bora Bora.
They started their Bora Bora Honeymoons: Beach Resorts and Overwater Bungalow Vacation on the island of Tahiti. After their long international flight, they had a night to simply relax, unwind, and recover from the journey with a rejuvenating massage. The next day, they hopped over to the island of Moorea, one of the most fashionable islands in French Polynesia.
They spent 3 nights at Manava Beach Resort & Spa Moorea, a beautiful resort featuring breathtaking ocean and mountain views. They stayed in a beach bungalow, just steps from the white sand beach and the warm, turquoise waters of the lagoon—the perfect spot for snorkeling with colorful fish, rays, small reef sharks, and more! During their time on Moorea, they enjoyed some scenic hikes and opted for a special excursion to feed the sharks.
Next for their Bora Bora Honeymoons: Beach Resorts and Overwater Bungalow Vacation, they flew to the island of Bora Bora for the highlight of their trip: staying in an overwater bungalow with views to Mount Otemanu! They had a relaxing 3 nights sunning themselves on the deck with gorgeous views of the cerulean waters and famous Mt. Otemanu. They also decided to celebrate their anniversary with a romantic horseback riding excursion on the beach.
When it was time to say goodbye to Bora Bora, they didn’t want to leave! They returned home feeling refreshed, with some amazing pictures to share with friends and family.

Day 1
Welcome to French Polynesia, otherwise known as the Islands of Tahiti! Fly into Papeete and spend a night at a 3-star resort near the airport, where you can take a dip in the spacious infinity pool and enjoy a fabulous dinner at the onsite restaurant. Be sure to get a good night’s sleep to prepare for the rest of your adventure on the islands of Moorea and Bora Bora!

Day 2
After breakfast, transfer from your hotel to the airport, where you’ll catch a short flight to the fabulous island of Moorea. Colorful, flowered, and radiant, the island of Moorea is a pleasure for all the senses. The volcanic peaks, reflected in the tranquil waters of Cook’s Bay and Opunohu Bay, rise like a shark’s jaw from the island’s basaltic base. The mountain slopes are covered with pineapple plantations, and amazing Tahitian beaches border crystalline lagoons. Day 3 – 4
The next 2 days are at your leisure to enjoy the beautiful turquoise waters of Moorea. You can choose to take a dip in the warm waters of the Pacific, in the infinity pool with poolside bar, or on the deck of your beach bungalow. Optional excursions include deep sea fishing, scuba diving, dolphin and whale watching, horseback riding, 4WD safari, hiking, massages and spa treatments, water skiing, sunset catamaran cruises, jet skiing, a glass-bottom boat tour, and more.

Day 5
It’s time for the highlight of your trip: staying in an overwater bungalow! Take a transfer to the airport and fly to the magical island of Bora Bora, where you will be whisked away to Le Bora Bora Beach Resort & Spa. Day 8
Today, it’s time to say goodbye to the stunning turquoise waters of Bora Bora. Enjoy a short transfer to the airport, fly back to Papeete, and catch your connecting flight home.
