14 Day Tahiti & Australia Dive Adventure

Day 1
Arrive in the Tahitian capital city of Papeete and head to your hotel to charge your batteries for a week of excellent diving.

Day 2-5 (B,L,D)
Today catch a flight to the island of Manihi, a string of islets famous for its black pearl farms. It has also earned an honored place in the international diving world. Dive sites of impressive seascapes with a large density and variety of species make this destination special, along with moderate currents, a high level of water clarity and dive sites protected from wind and waves that are great for every level of experience. See hammerhead sharks, eagle rays, manta rays, grey sharks, and schools of barracuda, turtles and dolphins. When you are taking a break from diving, try one of these optional activities: pearl farm visit, handline fishing, lunch on a secluded island, village visit, or boat rental.

Day 6
Bid farewell to wonderful Manihi and overnight again in Papeete before continuing on to Australia.

Day 7-8
Head back to the airport and fly to spectacular Sydney! Cosmopolitan and aesthetically appealing, Sydney is a feast for the eyes with plenty to offer any type of traveler. Sydney is yours to explore at your leisure. Take a self-guided walking tour of The Rocks Historic District, ferry to Manly Beach, or shop the boutiques of Oxford Street. Visit the Tauranga Zoo, shop at Darling Harbour, climb the Harbour Bridge, take a surf lesson at Bondi Beach, or stroll through the Botanic Gardens. A cruise on the harbor is a must!

Day 9
Today head up north to Tropical Queensland and the home of diver’s mecca, the Great Barrier Reef. You will overnight in the port city of Cairns before you begin your dive adventure.

Day 10-12 (B,L,D)
Join your 3 day /2 night dive adventure on a luxury liveaboard cruise where the accommodations and service match the exceptional diving.  The Great Barrier Reef is every diver's paradise with more fish species, coral types and marine life than anywhere else on the face of the planet. Swim with giant maori wrasse, reef sharks, giant clams, and an abundance of other colorful tropical sealife.  Spend your last night in Cairns after you disembark the boat.

Day 13
Fly back to the US all the while recounting stories of the beautiful fish and coral and amazing sealife that you swam with during your epic dive adventure!
