Day 1  Port Douglas  
We start this Australia vacation package with Cairns, let your private driver transfer meander 90 minutes up the coast to the charming seaside town of Port Douglas, haven for romantics, cafés and restaurants, and those who wish to visit the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest away from the hordes of tourists. Port Douglas and its lovely beaches will be your home for the next three nights.  We are happy to assist with restaurant reservations for you this evenng.

Day 2  Port Douglas
Today is yours at absolute complete leisure. Try a treatment at the hotel’s luxurious spa, and enjoy the boutique cafés and restaurants of Port Douglas. Today is just for the two of you to adjust to your new locale in the tropical north of Australia. We can arrange a private dinner along the beach or in the canopy of the rainforest if you so desire. Other optional additions include: Cuddling a koala, day tours of the oldest rainforest in the world (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), horseback riding along the beach at sunset or guided Aboriginal rainforest walk.

Day 3  Port Douglas (L)
Enjoy a full day today out on the Great Barrier Reef for reef interpretation and a guided snorkel tour. You'll be transported to three spectacular sites on the edge of the Outer Great Barrier Reef at the Agincourt Ribbon Reefs. The snorkeling advisor teaches current use of the equipment and snorkeling techniques and gives a well-researched and informative talk of the biology and history of the reef. Dedicated snorkel crew provide personal in-water assistance and flotation devices for beginners, while the more experienced snorkeler can enjoy unrestricted exploration of spectacular drop-offs and coral pinnacles. Or, if you have your certification, Scuba divers are catered for at an additional cost. We could even arrange a scenic helicopter flight out to the Reef pontoon.

Day 4  Melbourne
On to Australia’s “second city,” Melbourne, the hub of chic style and delicious food. Explore the café culture and St. Kilda. Additional touring suggestions: A relaxing day being pampered in a spa, the scenic drive along Australia's Great Ocean Road, delighting in the sight of Little Blue Penguins in their natural habitat, a visit to Healesville Sanctuary to pet a koala and feed a kangaroo, a flight to King Island for a day tasting gourmet cheeses and wines, hiking in Australian National Parks, helicopter flights over the Twelve Apostles.

Day 5  Melbourne
This morning you’ll rise early for a hot air balloon ride over the city, one of the only places in the world where such a balloon ride is possible. As the city comes to life you will look down from your balloon onto some of the city’s iconic buildings and venues. Afterwards, if you like, we can also arrange a private tour of the Yarra Wine Valley or a walking tour of Melbourne.

Day 6  Melbourne (D)
The daytime is at your leisure today.  We recommend exploring the hidden lanes and arcades of this charming city.  Tonight, you have a private tour of Melbourne after the sun goes down and the lights turn on.  Start out on the Skydeck for a bird’s eye view of the city within a glass cube 300 meters in the air. Then check out the Golden Mile, followed by a dinner at one of the hottest dining spots in the city -- perhaps a sidewalk table in Little Italy, or a degustation menu at a gourmet establishment. Finally, enjoy cocktails and soft jazz on a rooftop terrace overlooking Federation Square and the Southbank Promenade.

Day 7  Sydney
A short flight brings you to your home for the next 3 nights -- iconic Sydney. Cosmopolitan and well landscaped, Sydney is a feast for the eyes with plenty to offer any type of traveler. Day 8  Sydney
Today is completely at your leisure to enjoy Sydney. Some ideas include a day tour to the Hunter Wine Valley in a classic Bentley, a night at the Opera or the Ballet that starts with a delicious meal and tour of the Sydney Opera House, or a personally guided tour through the Olympic Village, home of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.

Day 9  Sydney (L)
Today, you’ll be transferred by water taxi to your seaplane where it awaits to transfer you via a scenic seaplane flight over Sydney, along the northern beaches to the north shore. Land at the waterfront steps of a gourmet restaurant and literally step out of the plane and into your seat. Enjoy an award winning 3-course lunch, before being transferred back down to Sydney.

Day 10  Blue Mountains (L)
Just 60 miles west of Sydney brings you to the breathtaking Great Dividing Range. Nestled on the edge of a valley, your resort offers guests panoramic views of the magnificent World Heritage Listed Blue Mountain National Park. Discover the rugged beauty on a guided tour from Sydney allowing ample time to relax and unwind. End your day with dinner at the award winning restaurant (own expense) where we will make reservations for you.

Day 11 Blue Mountains - Sydney (B)
Awake in the morning and discover kangaroos in the wild in locations to which no other tour companies travel. Have breakfast among the kangaroos, then enjoy a few leisurely hours to try a simple hike, enjoy a massage, or just sit back and view the great Blue Mountains from your hotel. In the afternoon, a small group touring experience will bring you back to Sydney, having seen animals in the wild and in a protected reserve where you can pet a scruffy koala. Spend one more night in Sydney before flying home.
