Day 1  Cairns, Tropical North Queensland

Day 2  Great Barrier Reef (L)
Your adventure travel begins with a full day out on the Great Barrier Reef with a small group for reef interpretation and a guided snorkel tour.  Spectacular drop-offs and coral pinnacles await you. Scuba divers are most welcome.

Day 3 Rainforest Adventure Travel (L)
It’s a trip into the rainforest today, as you venture on horseback and ATV through the backwaters of Queensland! Horseback through beautiful bushland and rainforest, before lunch.  Then zig zag your way through adventure trails on a quad bike or ATV.  All tuition is covered.

Day 4  Cairns, Tropical North Queensland
Today is absolute leisure to enjoy the northern tropical beaches and your luxury resort.  We can arrange a private dinner along the beach or in the canopy of the rainforest if this is a special romantic trip just for two. Or, try a 4WD into Daintree Rainforest and waterfalls; bungee jumping or excellent whitewater rafting.

Day 5  Sydney

Day 6  Sydney - Dive With Sharks and Sydney Bridgeclimb
Today you’ll head to Manly where you will gear up for a shark dive in an aquarium!  Take the plunge into the waters and come face-to-face with huge sharks, turtles, stingrays, and fish. We can even add a shark feeding experience.  Tonight you’ll head up for a Harbour BridgeClimb at twilight to see the Sydney Opera House, the Sydney Tower Eye, and the rest of the skyline from an all new 360-degree perspective.

Day 7  Sydney - Half Day City Bike Tour
Today you’ll join a small group as you cycle around Sydney’s major sites on a bike tour, introducing you to the parts of Sydney that you saw from above the evening before. Your expert guide will escort you to plenty of great attractions. You’ll even stop at a pub for a pint at the half-way point through this four-hour tour, but not for long, because there is so much to see!

Day 8  Sydney - Bondi Beach Surfing Lesson
The last exciting activity scheduled for your time in Sydney is a two-hour group surfing lesson at Bondi Beach, home of muscles and teensy weensy bikinis... and plenty of beginner to experienced surfers.

Day 9  Queenstown
Ride in your escorted towncar back to the airport today for a flight to the the Southern Alps of New Zealand, Queenstown. A delight for scenery lovers and adrenaline junkies alike, Queenstown is the outdoor adventure capital of the country, if not the world. There are an endless supply of activities to fully experience the stunning natural landscape and to get your adrenaline flowing. Your room will have a stunning view of Lake Wakatipu.

Day 10  Queenstown - Bungee Jump and Jetboating
What better way to welcome you to Queenstown than by doing a bungee jump in the place where bungee originated: the Kawarau Bridge. Take some time to recover and grab lunch, because this afternoon is a jet boat ride on one of Queenstown’s most exciting and scenic rivers. A jet boat is a lightweight motorboat with very powerful motors that can make quick stops and starts, and can even do famous 360 degree turns that dowse the passengers in water.

Day 11  Queenstown - River Surfing
Try something new today, surfing on the Kawarau River.  Big fast flowing rapids, standing waves, boils, whirlpools and a finish with a flat section to catch your breath and see the great scenery. The afternoon is yours at leisure. Some additional recommended activities: sky diving, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, hiking, zip-lining, canyon swinging, luging, and skiing in season.

Day 12  Glacier Country
Drive through the most scenic part of New Zealand alpine scenery today as you make your way over the Haast Pass and its swimmable waterfalls to the rugged West Coast and the glacier region. Tiny townships near the coast, Fox and Franz Josef Glacier towns are havens for the outdoors enthusiast with the only glaciers that slide through temperate rainforest in the world.

Day 13   Glacier Country - Heli Hike on A Glacier (B)
This morning you’ll board a helicopter to the top of Fox Glacier, and then have half a day to hike around on the ice. With crampons on the bottom of your boots and an ice pick in your hand, you’ll wander through blue ice crevasses and icy caves guided by an expert in glacial ecology and hiking.  Spend the rest of your day doing any number of additional activities: soaking in hot pools, viewing real live kiwi birds in a nocturnal kiwi house, hiking, horseback riding, or just enjoying the rugged feel of this remote town.

Day 14  Rugged West Coast (B)
It’s a drive up the rugged West Coast of New Zealand’s South Island today, past windswept beaches, stark sea cliffs dropping into the roaring ocean, and hazy fog that hangs over the alps to your right as you navigate this thin strip of land between the ocean and the mountains. The drive gets better and better the farther north you drive.

Day 15  Golden Bay
Drive further north today, through the stunning Buller River Gorge and past Abel Tasman National Park to Pohara Beach, an eye-poppingly large, shallow beach with sand that seems to stretch for miles. Well off the beaten path, this area of Golden Bay, New Zealand is beyond where most of the tourists travel.

Day 16   Half Day Beach Horseback Ride (B,D)
Drive all the way to the tip of Golden Bay today for a three-hour horseback ride today on wind-swept white-sand Wharariki Beach at the edge of the world. Ride through the caves and watch the seals and their babies play in the rock pools.  Spend a couple of hours after your ride exploring Puponga Farm Park, either by hiking or just viewing Farewell Spit from the lighthouse -- an unbelievably long, narrow, curving spit that borders Golden Bay.

Day 17   Kayak Abel Tasman National Park (B,L,D)
Today you’ll travel into Abel Tasman National Park by scenic water taxi to Tonga Island Marine Reserve in the heart of the park. Then it’s into the water in a kayak. Enjoy the antics of the cheeky fur seals as they swim around (sometimes onto!) your kayak, and watch sea birds working the shoals of fish or resting on rocky outcrops.  Then travel back to your lodge for a multi-course gourmet dinner to celebrate your final night.

Day 18 (B)
A flight from Nelson to Auckland, and then from Auckland home completes your Australia New Zealand honeymoon adventure today.
