Day 1  Capetown (D)
Your luxury vacation on board the Rovos Rail luxury train departs Cape Town station and sets off for Matjiesfontein where you have an opportunity to explore this quaint and timeless village before returning to the Rovos train for dinner.  A degustation awaits you every meal on board the Rovos.  This train owns their own railway line, stopping for restful nights sleep and running on their own touring schedule.  Your luxurioues cabins are very spacious with no detail missed.

Day 2  Kimberley (B,L,D)
After a relaxing morning on the Rovos luxury train, enjoy a leisurely lunch as your tour approaches Kimberley, where you can visit the historic Big Hole as well as the Diamond Museum. Enjoy dinner on the luxury train as your Rovos tour continues.  After dinner, join fellow passengers in teh lounge cars for cognacs and live music.

Day 3  Pretoria (B,L,D)
Breakfast may be brought to your cabin this morning.  Upon arrival in Pretoria, you can enjoy a light lunch before embarking on a city tour - South Africa's administrative capital.

Day 4  Private African Safari (B,L,D)
Your luxury train tour will arrive in Klaserie for a 2-night African Safari experience at either Kapama Game Lodge or the 5-star Thornybush Game Lodge.
During your stay, you can enjoy early morning or evening game drives, or an afternoon visit to the Wild Dog and Cheetah Project (entrance fee not included in the tour price).

Day 5  Private African Safari (B,L,D)

Thornybush Game Lodge offers guests a luxurious African Safari experience. Rooms have wonderful scenic views over the African bush from your private wooden decks. Spot African wildlife from the pool deck or look out over the seasonal Monwana River.  Thornybush Game Lodge has exciting dawn and dusk safaris in open landrovers and on foot, as well as a wonderful spa for pampering in between drives.  Kapama Game Lodge is the largest private luxury game lodge located just outside Kruger National Park with extensive amenities and safari experiences.  At either location you are sure to have a truly memorbale African safari experience.

Day 6  Botswana (B,L,D)
After an early morning game drive, you will be transferred to the Rovos luxury train for a midday departure. Spend the day relaxing and drink in the dramtically changing landscapes whilst enjoying superb wines.

Day 7  Zimbabwe (B,L,D)
This day will be spent on board the luxury train as the tour crosses over the border into Zimbabwe. You can enjoy informative morning and afternoon lectures by a historian.

Day 8  Victoria Falls (B,L,D)
You will be transferred from the station to the Victoria Falls Hotel. A sunset cruise on the Zambezi River, and an optional 'African Spectacular Show' precede dinner.

Day 9  Victoria Falls (B,L,D)
The day is yours to spend at leisure or engaging in the many varied activities on offer such as a tour of Victoria Falls, or the Flight of the Angels.
The Rovos luxury train will continue its tour, leaving the station in the mid-afternoon, after which you will have the rest of the afternoon at leisure aboard Rovos

Day 10  Lusaka (B,L,D)
Another leisurely day of luxury train touring as you sweep through Lusaka. Enjoy more fascinating lectures or while away the time watching the vast African landscapes amble by.

Day 11  Kanona (B,L,D)
Arrive in Kanona and enjoy a brunch outing at the Kundalila Falls. Your luxury vacation continues as you depart in the early afternoon for the Zambian/Tanzanian border.

Day 12  Zambia - Tasnzania (B,L,D)
After breakfast, disembark at Kasama for a bush walk at Chisimba Falls.  Rovos then continues on towards the border between Zambia and Tanzania as you enjoy a relaxing day of luxury train touring.

Day 13  (B,L,D)
Enjoy the spectacular scenery as your luxury train passes down the escarpment of the extraordinary Rift Valley, through tunnels and over viaducts.

Day 14  Dar es Salaam(B)
Enjoy a final breakfast on board Rovos as it makes its way through Kiduna, on its way to Mzenga. Your luxury train vacation culminates in Dar es Salaam.
