Cross International Dateline.
Day 3
Arrive Australia, connecting to Lord Howe
Island.
Lord Howe Island, with its rich green forests,
tranquil beaches and incredibly blue seas, is dominated by the
ruggedly spectacular volcanic peaks of Mt Gower and Mt Lidgbird.
It is a paradise for walkers, bird watchers and anglers - deep
sea, beach and rock fishing are all popular as are golf, tennis,
bowling, cycling, surfing, snorkelling and scuba diving.
Day 4
At leisure
to discover the hidden pleasures of the island.
Take a motorboat to your favorite of the many secluded bays and
enjoy the delights of a freshly prepared gourmet picnic hamper.

Day at leisure. Let us arrange spa treatments
for you (additional cost).
Day 6
Leave Lord Howe Island for Tasmania
today. Tasmania has rugged wilderness, friendly wildlife, exquisite
accommodations and beautiful wine regions.
Arrive into Hobart, collect
your rental car and make your way to your accommodation. One night
in Hobart at a fresh, vibrant hotel featuring local artisans work
and within walking distance of the famous Salamanca markets.
Day 7
Make your way up the rugged east coast to
Launceston. Drive through the scenic Freycinet National Park. Today’s
optional touring includes: ‘Freycinet Adventure Tour’; ‘Gourmet
Wilderness and Wildlife Tour’; ‘Stream Fishing Brown
Trout Tour’; ‘Waterfalls and Wilderness Trail Tour’; ‘Wombat
Walkabout Tour’ Accommodation in Launceston is on the waterfront.

8
Make your way to Cradle Mountain today. Two nights
at a spectacular alpine wilderness lodge including breakfast daily.
Day 9
At leisure. Optional touring: hiking; Tasmania
wine and cheese tasting; horse riding; canoeing; luxurious spa
treatments; night wildlife spotting; canoeing.
Day 10
Drop your rental car at the airport today
and connect with your onward flight to Nelson, New Zealand.
Welcome to Nelson, located at the geographic centre of New Zealand.
On Arrival you will be met by your New Zealand representative.
Here you will receive required documents for your New Zealand visit
and assisted to the rental car counter for vehicle pick up. Self
drive to your hotel.
Day 11
Day trip to Abel Tasman National Park,
self-driving. Optional touring: “Sea
Kayaking, Seals & Walk Day Trip", "Seals, Bush 'n'
Beach Walk" day trip, winery exploration, Scenic Heli-Flight, “WOW – World
or Wearable Arts”. Return to your hotel in Nelson.
Day 12
Self drive to Kaikoura. Kaikoura is well
known around the world for the proximity of whales to the coastline
as the continental shelf runs up close to the shore. Optional
Touring: swim with the dolphins, whale watching.
Day 13
Make your way along the east coast to Christchurch.
Founded as a model English settlement, it is known as "the
most English City outside of England". The city was planned
around the Canterbury Cathedral and, with its well tended gardens,
parks and willow-lined Avon River, it gives the impression of stepping
back in time to an English provincial town.
Day 14
Leaving Christchurch today turn West towards
the peaks of the Southern Alps . As you drive across the fertile
Canterbury Plains the scenery changes by the mile as you climb
up the foothills into the remote Arthur’s Pass wilderness.
Located close to the pass is Wilderness Lodge. The lodge provides
a wonderful base to take part in the outdoor activities in the
nearby Arthur’s Pass National Park.
Optional touring: Guided nature walks, canoeing and adventure trips.
During select months you can also go trout fishing, skiing and
mountaineering.
Day 15
Leaving the pass today continue to travel
west, journeying through dramatic scenery of the Otira Gorge en
route to the rainforests of the West Coast. At Hokitika
you may have the opportunity to see Greenstone, local New Zealand
Jade, being crafted into unique designs for jewellery and ornaments. Heading
into remote countryside you will arrive at the Franz Josef Glacier,
headquarters of the Westland National Park. Subject
to weather conditions you may have the chance to take a flight
by helicopter or ski plane onto the glacier.
Day 16
Morning Heli-hike onto the glacier will
be a memorable experience and offers wonderful photographic opportunities.
Each departure is a true voyage of exploration; there are so many
changing features that the guides always find something new. The
afternoon is free to explore more of the Westland National Park
Day 17
Self drive down to Queenstown today. I
recommend a walk around Lake Matheson. Optional touring suggestion:
hiking, biking in Wanaka.

Day 19
The day is yours to enjoy. There are many
adventures and activities on offer ranging from the adrenalin producing
Bungee Jumping, Jet boating and paragliding to more relaxed activities
such as lake cruises, cable car rides and, of course, shopping.

20
Return your rental car to Queenstown airport
for your flight home. Depart New Zealand today and arrive into
Los Angeles the same day.
