Code: FW03 Description: Enjoy a four-day gourmet adventure starting in Sydney and continuing through Hunter Gulgong, Mudgeee and the Blue Mountains. Itinerary Day 1 Sydney/Hunter Valley: Your guide will collect your from your Sydney hotel to embark on this four day wine and gourmet adventure. Heading North across the Sydney Harbour Bridge we follow the scenic route along the banks of the Hawkesbury River. Enjoy tasting fine wines in the Hunter and savor the flavors of a deliciously prepared three course luncheon. In the afternoon you will sample several acclaimed wines with a privately arranged exclusive tasting in some one of the local ‘s favorite wineries. This evening relax in the luxurious surrounds of your accommodations and dine at your leisure in the hotels excellent restaurant. Day 2 Hunter Valley/Gulgong/Mudgee: Today begins with a breathtaking hot air balloon ride over the vineyards of the Hunter Valley. Head through upper Hunter and into the historic town of Gulgong. Here you will be met by the local historian for an informative walking tour of this enchanting town before making your way into the historic township of Mudgee, on the banks of the Cudgegong River. Stop at the local galleries and wineries as part of this afternoon’s experience. In the evening enjoy, a delightful food and wine pairing dinner at the acclaimed Poets Corner restaurant. Day 3 Mudgee/Blue Mountains: This morning explore the township of Mudgee - historic buildings, boutique stores, local crafts and wineries all in close proximity make this a delightful town to explore. You will have a chance to tastes some of the local produce as well as visit an olive farm and boutique winery. Then say goodbye to the outback and continue your journey through the Great Diving Ranges to the Blue Mountains. Here you will experience unsurpassed breathtaking scenery and historic villages of the Blue Mountains. Weather permitting we will see kangaroos in their native bush land and enjoy a short walk along the rim to reveal panoramic views over a valley which is said to be over 20million years older than the Grand Canyon. Here we listen to the sounds of the haunting didgeridoo whilst we sip on a glass of Sparkling wine. Day 4 Blue Mountains/Sydney: Today relax and enjoy the superb surrounds of your lodgings this morning. Optional activities include fly fishing, golf, guided bush walks, or a relaxing facial! Departing mid afternoon we make our way back into Sydney. |
