Beach itinerary Day 1 Depart Los Angeles non-stop for Papeete, Tahiti. Arrive early evening. Enjoy your first night on Papeete. Papeete - The islands of Polynesia are a gorgeous collection of volcanic islands and atolls strewn lazily across the grand Pacific Ocean. This island of Tahiti proper, often called the "Island of Love," is the largest of the 118 islands and atolls that comprise French Polynesia. Arrival transfers to your hotel is included. Evening is at your leisure. Day 2 50 minute flight to Bora Bora, located 150 miles northwest of Tahiti in the leeward Society Islands. Bora Bora's lagoon is world-famous for its beauty. In the center of the lagoon one side of the extinct volcano still stands as a tall mountain. This offers some of the clearest water and soft sandy beach in Tahiti. Within the lagoon the depths of water vary from a few inches to 120 feet. The diving inside it is pure delight. Your accommodation is at a glorious boutique Tahiti beach resort, a member of Leading Hotels of the World. The resort’s twenty beach bungalows allow direct access to the beach. Step off the private deck onto the white sand, you are only steps away from the lagoon. Day 3-7 Your stay is entirely at your leisure. Relax and unwind or be active, the choice is yours.
